Dino Urbani
With over 20 years of experience as a self defence instructor, Dino Urbani is a seasoned leader, mentor and motivator. Specializing in street-effective reality-based combat, Mr. Urbani’s extensive combat skill and prowess is reflected in his mastery of a versatile arsenal of unarmed and armed combat forms. Mr. Urbani’s strong values and even stronger will are a tribute to his extensive training regimen consisting of strict mental, physical and spiritual conditioning. This value system has enabled Mr. Urbani to flourish as a father, businessperson and positive role model in the community.
Mr. Urbani saw a need to get back to the real reason for training- to learn self defence and to reap the results of being confident, physically fit, more relaxed and focused. He also saw an opportunity to fulfill his goals and help people reach theirs by passing his knowledge, insight and experiences to others.

Adam
Adam has trained in UCS for 14 years and has experienced and participated in the development of all aspects of the system. Adam has grown from UCS through his many roles: student, assistant instructor, demonstration partner, and training partner and is extremely proud of UCS and the effectiveness and realism it brings to self-defense instruction.
He is a dedicated student and believes in the ability of his fellow students to transform their lives and attitudes through persistence, motivation and dedication. Adam is an adherent of frequent, intense training and has profited greatly from the physical, emotional, and intellectual benefits of the UCS curriculum.

Dave Rabinovitch
Mr. Rabinovitch was born and raised in Montreal, Canada, and first began training in reality-based combat as a student of Chu Fen Do under self-defense visionary and pioneer Tony Blauer, before moving to Japan in the late 1980's. After studying Aikido in Ottawa, he was introduced to Sifu Dino Urbani, founder of Urban Combat Systems (UCS), in 2002, and has never looked back.
Mr. Rabinovitch believes that all martial arts and self-defense systems offer positive physical and psychological benefits to practitioners, and that each should be respected. His current training is centered on reality-based or “street” self-defense (both armed and unarmed), and how to avoid and survive real life threatening situations. He is honoured to be a dedicated student and instructor in the UCS family, and heads UCS’ classes at Glebe Fitness in Ottawa, Ontario.
